RUSS DOAK

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Russ Doak has provided strategic direction, planning and implementation for Global Retail and Hi Tech, Resources, CPGs covering manufacturing and services. This covers multi-nationals / global corporations on issues related to infrastructure for global supply chain efficiencies, procurement, logistics, IT delivery-fulfillment processes and systems and/or risks mitigation plus use of global modeling tools.

 

Russ’s expertise was developed as Director / divisional VP levels and Head of Supply Chain roles in a range of industries with organizations such as Washington Group (WG) / Seaspan- Shipbuilding-Manufacturing / Repair, CHC / Heli-One Aerospace plus global companies such as Kodak-Consumer and Hi Tech Manufacturing of Printing, Electronic Imaging and Software Technologies, Best Buy-Large US Electronic Retailer. He has also held management positions and consulting with resources and KPMG plus other large global players such as Babcock / McDermott-Power Generation-Oil & Gas and forestry industries.

 

Specific strengths include implementing and integrating the supply chain management (SCM) discipline in all aspects of the business: strategy, business process, organization, strategic sourcung, use of best of breed tools & technology systems, and risk mitigation, regulations, compliance and performance management. Russ supported the successful award of $10 billion shipbuilding award to Seaspan for the federal fleet renewal (FFR) $35B program.

 

Russ works with organizations to optimize their sources of supply and delivery networks, implement the best solutions and processes, leverage worldwide spend and improved services. Established global supply chains and logistics for companies ranging from start-ups to fortune 100 encompassing 5 continents.

 

In addition to his professional experience, Russ holds a P. Log. designation and is a graduate of the Distribution Management CITT Program from the University of Toronto (U of T). He was educated at University of British Columbia (UBC)-Okanagan Campus in Arts & Science and the B.C.I.T. University–Vancouver in Marketing and International Trade. He has completed the Executive in Residence Graduate Program for Logistics and Supply Chain at University of Waterloo. Russ is enrolled at University of San Diego’s (USD) MBA concentration in supply chain management with the initial course in Sustainability and the Global Supply Chain. Obtained his Master Certificates in Procurement and Global Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University (MSU) in 10, 2014 and 2nd one in 02, 2015. Enrolled in Advance Supply Chain Certificate Program–CTL at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Logistics, Modelling / Network Design, Finance, Sourcing and Strategy. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and value creation courses from Audencia Nantes School of Management.

 

Russ currently serves on the executive board of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) for Toronto Roundtable as one of the founding members and is on the advisory board of Logistics Quarterly.
